   This logbook is intended for the use of first-year medical students who join the MBBS course from the year 2019 and is prepared as per the guidelines for implementation of the foundation course as per Graduate Medical Education Regulations.
   This logbook will help students record their opinions on the topics covered, and the teaching methods used to achieve competencies and learning outcomes.

1. Under the new system of medical education competency-based medical education, the first month of MBBS is exclusively devoted to the Foundation Course, covering the lectures on orientation, skills module, professional development and ethics, language, and computer skills in addition to the classes on sports and extracurricular activities and field visits. This logbook will help the students in maintaining a record of all the sessions conducted in the foundation course. It will also help the students in building and developing basic skills of writing which are necessary for any future doctor.

   - It will help the student in building and developing basic writing skills, allowing them to reflect on what they have learned in each session.

   - Additionally, it will also serve as a nostalgic reminder of the wonderful first few days that they spent in the medical college.

   - This edition features a reflective portfolio for AETCOM for first-year professional MBBS students.

The Foundation Course aims to introduce the student to the medical profession and the role of a doctor in society. This Logbook helps the student in maintaining a record of all the sessions conducted during the Foundation Course.
